Electrified furnishing products
Electrified furniture products can be divided into two macro-types: furnishing products with electrified movements (relaxation armchairs, motorized sofa beds, adjustable desks and tables) and furnishing products without movement but equipped with lighting or connectivity components (furniture, tables and sofas with light points and electrical sockets).
Motorized furniture components must meet the requirements established by Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE and from Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/UE.
The certification of lighting components requires compliance with the standards described by the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/UE and from Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
To obtain the CE marking for furniture, the manufacturer can request the help of a specialized laboratory.
Sicom Testing performs all the necessary tests, provides support in drafting of documents, of technical files and boasts experience in the field of furniture components for medical use.
