Sicom Testing and Udicer/Nautitest collaborate to provide a testing and certification service for maritime equipment by combining their respective skills in a synergistic way.
Sicom Testing is a testing and certification laboratory for electrical, electronic and radio equipment, expert in naval electronics testing and in the investigation of problems with on-board systems.
Udicer / Nautitest is a Notified Body that carries out all verification and certification procedures for the CE marking of pleasure craft and components covered by the Directive 2013/53/EU and for the Maritime Equipment Directive (MED) Directive 2014/90/EU.
The agreement, signed by Dr Roberto Passini, Director of Sicom Testing, and by the engineer Adriano Bortoluzzi, director of the Udicer components division, marks the start of a new collaboration in the sector of certification of electric motors for boats.
In this context, Sicom Testing makes its skills and experience available in the verification and testing of nautical products, with particular attention to the aspects of electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment, safety and human exposure to electromagnetic fields.
Another step forward for Sicom Testing, which expands its partner network and strengthens its position as a testing and certification laboratory.
