When a significant change to a certified product is going to occur,
the Technical Construction File (TCF) of the product must be updated with the
details of the change.
Minor changes in the production process, that are not likely to affect compliance,
may be handled within the production quality system.
It is noted, however, that even when single changes do not significantly affect compliance, the accumulation of changes may result in non-compliance.
Accordingly Sicom offers a service specifically intended to “refresh” the certification of the product.
The TCF will be updated and accompanied with details of all the changes to the product since the original certification.
